The strategy and focus points are clear to you, but people on the shop floor seem to be heading in a hundred different directions? Then it's time to put some work into your Strategy Deployment with this one-day training.

The strategy is rarely the problem1; more often, the problem is in its execution. This training covers translation and follow-up by the management team.

It is based on my years of experience with five-shift management teams in logistics, where I sped up deployment from annual to quarterly strategy adjustments.

Programme

One day. A mix of insights, reflection and practice. The times are a guideline: we tune the day to the team and the conversations that arise.

  • 09:00 · Introduction · why strategies fail, even the good ones. Recognising the execution gap in your own examples.
  • 10:00 · Deployment Framework · the structure and the skills with which leaders translate goals from year to quarter level and from strategic, through tactical to practical.
  • 11:15 · Workshop: translating goals · turning your own strategy into measurable goals per team.
  • 13:30 · Workshop: measuring and following up · designing the follow-up for the coming months: what do we measure, who is responsible, when do we adjust?
  • 15:00 · Individual and group reflection · every leader formulates two commitments, the group gives feedback, and we schedule the first monthly reflection.
  • 16:30 · Summary and closing · summary of the key takeaways and the commitments. Closing ready to step back into the daily hustle with a strategic lens.

Each step results in a tangible outcome: a filled-in framework, concrete goals per team, and two commitments per leader. Ready to use immediately.

How we work

This course combines theory with practice. After a short training we get to work with exercises to translate your strategy better to the floor. This ranges from translation exercises to reflections on strengths and points of attention in yourself and your team.

What you take away

You leave with a fresh, simplfied view of how to better get your strategy across to your people, combining practice with seeking feedback.

Each member of the management team also takes away two commitments about their behaviour, to make sure the strategy is clear and gets followed up.
